A bank recently passed my details onto clients they could not help. They had tried but could not get the loan over the line. The customer was very upset – the bank had actually strung them along for a while it was completely outside their policy the whole time.
I spoke to the clients on the Tuesday – got all of their details and supporting documents by Thursday. I had ordered valuation which we did not receive back until Monday. Once we had the valuation back we submit the loan application. The property has been accepted by the bank and I’m expecting formal approval by tomorrow.
Important to note that if I knew I could not help someone I would not string them along. I would be upfront and point them in the right direction. The bank did the right thing in the end by providing my details to the clients.
